~Creative Colloquy Crawl~

Join us the weekend of October 8 through 10 for a cornucopia of online events! Traditionally our annual Crawl is a large scale literary event featuring dozens of wordsmiths and storytellers bridging genres and generations, demographics and experience levels. Due to Covid, this years festivities will be ONLINE and will remain to be FREE to attend.

THE LINE UP INCLUDES:

FRIDAY

7 pm- C3 VIRTUAL KICKOFF HAPPY HOUR: Snag a glass of your favorite libation, pull up a seat and let’s hang for a virtual happy hour! Sure, sure, it’s not the same as an evening of pub crawling but there will be writerly banter, a raffle for some cool prizes and live music provided by Kim Archer!

ALL EVENTS ARE FREE TO ATTEND BUT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

SATURDAY

11 am- The Before Times, Gathering: So much of our lives are conducted in a virtual setting these days. We gather around the laptop for Zoom work meetings and online happy hours. We connect to celebrate the matrimony of loved ones, and even to mourn the loss of those dear to us.
A virtual festival seems like as good a time as any to connect and commiserate about the before times. Ballgame tailgate parties, concerts filled to the brim in a unified state of harmony, the aromas of cookouts in your friends backyard, or gathered with others around tables set for bountiful feasts.
During this open mic forum we encourage you to bring your stories revolving around gatherings of all sorts: church, summer camp, seances, live music and more.
Poetry, short stories and essays are all welcome. Open mic time limited to 5 mins per person.

ALL EVENTS ARE FREE TO ATTEND BUT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

2 pm- SONG/STORY LABORATORY: Bringing together his love of literature, song, and storytelling, musical theater songwriter Daniel J. F. Wolfert presents this 45-minute set of songs from across his catalogue, including songs from his upcoming collaborative work with Puget Sound playwrights Jessi Pitts, Kendall Uyeji, and Maggie Lee, performed by local Puget Sound vocalists. Fans of Stephen Schwartz, Stephen Sondheim, and Sara Bareilles, as well as readers of speculative fiction, will be right at home in this theatrical virtual concert. *Warning Explicit Language

The collection is simultaneously a rallying cry for the land we build our homes in; a spell for strength and safe passage through tribulation; and a celebration of the power and brilliance of women.
